Companies / Organizations / Positions | I’m self employed as a licensed marriage and family therapist. |
Community Service Organizations / Roles | I’ve helped the homeless by handing out food and shoes through a friend who runs an organization. I’ve donated my blood and am listed on BeTheMatch. |
My Story | I first donated in 2008 at PFC. I was searching for a job on Craigslist when I saw an ad for being an egg donor. I decided to pursue this venture only after deciding that my main reason was to help someone have the family that they always wanted. Finances were a secondary motivator. I was told that I wasn’t a good candidate for a 2nd cycle with them because I didn’t “stimulate well.” Being an egg donor got me my job, post college, working for Family Creations LLC, as a case manager for egg donation cycles. My heart was in this FULLY! It BROKE my heart when cycles failed and people that I grew very close to didn’t get pregnant or being home their baby. I decided to contact a local clinic that I knew had in-house donors and decided to donate again, 5 more times. I had very successful cycles. Cycle 2 resulted in a life birth of a little girl and I believe they went on to have a second baby as well. My 3rd cycle resulted in boy/girl twins for a male couple. I’m in email communication with this couple. The 4th cycle resulted in a boy/girl twin birth to a single mother, Melissa, who lives in the DC area I believe. I’m not sure the status of the 5th and 6th donations. NOW I want to be available to the children and families that I’ve helped in ANY way. I’m happy to meet and stay in touch with the families, send more photos, genetic /health information, etc. I can’t wait to meet you! |
