Miscellaneous 7 years, 2 months agoIt sounds like my donor wasn’t part of a program through a university, clinic, or sperm bank. There’s no donor ID or any other records. Is there any way to find possible donor siblings (aside from DNA testing)?

I’ve done Ancestry DNA and uploaded to FTDNA, GEDmatch, and MyHeritage. I plan to do 23andme next year.

No, there isn’t another way. With no info, DNA testing is your only current route. Sorry!

Yes, it has been an overwhelming week for sure. I was surprised by the lack of information regarding donor children in Pittsburgh (at least I couldn’t find it). I just heard from JoEllen. She cannot meet tomorrow; she had a last minute training event come up at work. She would like to reschedule. Miscellaneous 7 years, 7 months agoI have done 23andme, ancestry.com. I found my donor thru 23andme. I have his initals and location where he donated (washington university in st louis). I have tried messaging him with no luck. I have no idea what to do now. Any suggestions?

Hi Erick, You can try triangulating matches and seeing who you match him with. If you can Identify another shared family member and do some basic genealogy it is not hard from there to match him to his identity. You can then, with a name search his contact information fairly easily.
