  • Hi @steph,

Thanks for posting! Please in addition to this Forum post create a Donor ID specific Group. That will help be more searchable on the search engines like Google. Also make one for your Doctor, local Meetup, etc. Hope you connect!

  • @dadams Group looks great! Consider making an automatic Welcome Email that new members will receive under Admin – Email Options. Only Admins can create Group Meetup Events. See instructions on the Get Started page. If you ever want to share/transfer your Admin role you can do that under Admin – Members. Enjoy your connections!

  • Hello whoever might eventually join this group. I don’t know that Harvard has ever officially had a fertility clinic associated with it, but I believe my donor was a medical student at Harvard. That’s what my parents were led to believe at the time, anyway. The donation was thoroughly anonymous. Dr. Merle Berger was her doctor in early 1982 at…[Read more]

    • Very happy you made this group. I hope you make connections! Something you could do as a step further is go to the Harvard Medical School alumni hallways and take high-resolution pictures of all the graduated classes on the walls. A member did that in the KUMC group for years 1960-2013. It has already proven useful for several other members…[Read more]

    • I visited the Harvard university archives and created a spreadsheet of all the names in the yearbook for several years in the 80s. It’s on my other computer, but I can provide it to anyone who wants it. I don’t have the photos-they were in black and white which didn’t help me (I was looking for red hair). Anyway-the Harvard schools and…[Read more]

      • One thing I forgot to add: I also contacted the Beth Israel archives looking for any documents related to those 3 doctors and their residents, but I didn’t find much.

      • Good info. Whatever pictures and documents you have that can help others you should upload to this group’s Files tab or post on the wall. The group is private and the contents are not publicly visible.

      • Hi seeking123! Yes, it was the clinic at Beth Israel! I would be so thrilled to have that spreadsheet of names on here. Seriously, any connection would be great. Just wondering, did you know for a fact that your donor had red hair or are you just assuming because you have red hair? I ask because even though I don’t have red hair now, as a…[Read more]

        • I was hoping there might be a chance we were siblings, but you mentioned in the Boston IVF group you did 23andme and FTDNA and I don’t have any new matches of late. According to 23andme, I have the red hair recessive trait. The donor must have had some red hair trait. My Mom was told the donor had red hair, as my social father does. Feel free…[Read more]
