In 8th grade while at a diagnostic doctors appointment for my sleep disorder, the doctor asked my mother if my brother was a full sibling or half sibling. I had headphones in at the time, however I was in between songs and caught this part of their conversation. My mother said half and I was shocked. I asked her about it and she took me into the hallway to explain. She said my father could not have kids because of some sickness he had contracted as a child and that they had used a donor to have my twin sister and me. When they had my brother nearly 6 years later they used a different donor due to a lack of sperm supply from the previous donor.
