My Story | AncestryDNA results led to the discovery that I am sperm donor conceived. While this was not a huge shock, as I had often questioned how I fit in as a child, the half-sibling matches caught me completely off guard. My donor has four children of his own, and I have been linked to two DC half-siblings—one through Ancestry and the other through 23andMe. I am hesitant to reach out because I am unsure if the donor’s children know about his donations. The DC half-siblings may not yet be aware of their donor conceived status. I am just taking things on step at a time and looking forward to (hopefully!) connecting with a half-sibling in the future. |
