| My Story | Basically found out five years ago in a very stressful way and have been dealing with the fallout ever since. Have discovered my sister is only a half sister and we no longer speak as the bond broke when we realised we didn’t have the blood tie binding us and we could just let go. It’s caused many family issues. I am currently speaking to my parents but have had long periods of not during these five years. Felt very alone and can’t look at them the same because of the lies. Not because of the act itself. Just the deception. My whole family knew except me and my sister. That is just off the scale deception to me. Now with this whole brexit nonsense and them being very pro- brexit and me completely and utterly anti brexit and my DNA showing me as at least a third European anyway I feel so many conflicting things towards them. I AM EUROPEAN FFS. Your donors family was most likely from Germany/Holland/Sweden!!! anyways….I digress…..I have found two siblings thus far and we talk sporadically. It’s a funny feeling. Everything and yet nothing has changed. I’m quite philosophical about the whole thing and just take it day by day but I have to say I would very much like to see a photo of my biological father and know where I come from. That’s all. Just to feel rooted. ❤️ |
