My Story

My dad passed away in March of 2017. In December of 2017 my mom told me that due to cancer my dad had at 24 he was unable to have children so they opted for a live donor so they would at least know 1/2 of the medical history. She went to Dr Cameron at KU Med and had 3 pregnancies with one miscarriage. She was told my brother and I have the same medical school student donor, but we are almost 6 years apart in age so I’m not sure I believe that. I’ve been terrified of a DNA test because I don’t know that I want to know that my brother isn’t my full biological brother and I also fear intruding on someone else’s life if they never shared that they donated.
