My Story | My father had a low sperm count so my parents thought they could never conceive. The first adopted two children from Columbia (my sisters). My mom always wanted the experience of pregnancy and to have her own biological child. So they used a donor to conceive me. My brother, who was born 4 years after me was the biological child of both of my parents. He was a complete surprise. My parents told me that they had used a donor when I was having a miscarriage and was trying to figure out my blood type. My dad tried very hard to help me find my health history on the donors side but we were unsuccessful. My dad ended up passing away of melanoma several years ago. It didn’t matter to him that most of his children were not his biological. He loved all of us incredibly. |
