I was referred to this group to gather support for my lawsuit against NW Cryobank. The complaint has been filed and we’re now in need of funds from the community to keep it safely afloat.

Many of you have read about my story in the NYT or watched me on CBS News. Back in January 2019 I was threatened with $20,000 in “liquidated damages” by NW Cryobank for DNA testing my DC daughter and reaching out to her genetic relative that had tested through the same company. NW is attempting to prevent my daughter from making connections with her relatives that may desire a relationship with her now or in the future.

The lawsuit against NW is the first of its kind (that we know of) and has the potential to set precedence. It will challenge the cryobank’s contracts, bring attention to the impossibility of donor anonymity and highlight the unethical and unregulated practices of the sperm banking industry.
